How to: Submit your Bart’s Bash results

We want to make the Bart’s Bash results upload as simple as possible every year!

Before you start the process, please make sure you have the following information:

1. An individual lap distance

2. Elapsed Time

3. Number of laps sailed

4. Participants on the day

These are all of the bits of information that come together to give your sailors their place on the global Bart’s Bash leaderboard!

Now to make sure everything is in place to make the process as easy as possible! Firstly, log in to your venue page. You will see 8 options here:

We know a lot of our participating venues use Sailwave to process results. That’s why this year we have added an upload feature for results produced through Sailwave. You can use this to upload both the sailors information and the results. Please click on the ‘Upload Sailwave Results’ option to find out how to do this.

If you would prefer to use our inbuilt Bart’s Bash results processing system, please read the below:

Sailor Sign-UP

Please press the “View Entrants” button to check that all of your sailors have signed up as participating at your club. If you do not see the sailors signed up, you have three options:

  1. Ask your sailors to head to www.bartsbash.com and sign themselves up
  2. Press the “Add Sailor” and enter the details for each individual sailor through our online form
  3. Upload a spreadsheet of Sailors

If you decide to upload a spreadsheet of sailors information, you will see instructions on the form in which the spreadsheet needs to be set up. If you find it easier, you can download an example file and fill in the information using this. You can then re-upload this file.

Set up courses

Now that all your sailors information is collated, you can head to the ‘add/edit courses’ menu. This is where you will set up all the information about the course raced. Our system needs this information to rank you against sailors from all over the world!

You can add multiple courses at this stage. If you ran multiple course lengths throughout the day, you can supply results for everyone through this new system. You will need the below information for each course:

Entering Results

Once you have checked that all your participants are entered under your venue, head back to the main venue admin page (pictured above), please now press “Add Results”.

The first 5 columns will automatically fill with the data we already have. You can edit the sail number and handicap number’s if necessary.

You now need to enter the number of laps and elapsed time that relate to each sailor. You can also set the “Status” for those that did not complete or compete the race. Our system will calculated the corrected time.
