In 2018, Braden Haven Yacht Club successfully managed to raise money through Bart’s Bash to buy outboard engines to increase their safety fleet. Alongside this, using a grant from the Andrew Simpson Foundation sailing charity, a group of volunteers from BHYC took part in an RYA Dinghy Instructor course . The combination of new safety boats and volunteer dinghy instructors has meant that we have been able to increase participation in sailing through running practise sessions for adults and cadets and expanding our Spence Willard after school sailing.
A great achievement, so please come down, join in and support your club!
Saturday 14th September 2019 : Bart’s Bash sponsored Paddle Boarding – 16:00 the Duver
After racing we will be towing our Paddle Boards to the Duver for some low tide paddling. There is parking (pay) at the Old Church or free on the road for those who wish to drive round and climb aboard. The activities as always will be weather dependent but it’s looking light light winds so lots of options for everyone to enjoy a paddle, whatever their age or ability.
It’s £2 a paddle plus a donation to Bart’s Bash. Look out for the big yellow buckets. Wear something yellow.
